Archan Academy
Archan Academy was established with the intention of promoting various aspects of Indian Culture through its
Classical and Fold dances has been adding several feathers to its hat since its establishment. Some 450 students
have performed their Arangetrams through this Academy under the loving and able guidance of their Guru,
Smt. Keta Thakker.
She and her dance troupe has also been performing at various places on national as well as
international stages.
She has proved to be a true daughter of the soil who has not only imparted the knowledge of Dance but also
inculcated human values and love and respect for our rich culture and tradition, in her students.
Keta had taken her training in the classical dance form of Bharatnatyam from the well-known Late Guru Shree Chathunni
Paniker who has taught many celebrated students.
Then after she studied other classical dance forms of Kuchipudi
from the Late Guru Shri Acharyalu, and Mohiniattam from Late Guru Shree Chathunni Paniker and Sitalakshmi Shridhar.
She had given her first stage performance, Arangetram in the year 1977 and from there on there has been no
stopping for her.
